Manchester United hosts Aston Villa at the Old Trafford on Sunday

Manchester United hosts Aston Villa at the Old Trafford on Sunday. That’s our English Premier League predictions for this fixture at the legendary Theatre of Dreams.

Manchester United continue to perform in a mediocre way since the beginning of the campaign. At this point they are 9th in the league standings with 17 points, which is surely not what the fans were hoping for. The manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer still can’t find a way to bring consistency in his team, which is one of the big problems for United.

An example for this is the previous round when Manchester United once again lost two points. The Red Devils had a visit to Sheffield United, but they only won a point after a 3-3 draw. Brandon Williams, Mason Greenwood and Marcus Rashford scored for the former champions, but it was one of the rare cases when three goals are not enough for the win.

Paul Pogba continues to be sidelined for United, while Nemanja Matic, Diogo Dalot, Timothy Fosu-Mensah and Scott McTominay are also injured.

On Friday Arsenal sacked their manager Unai Emery, which led to a quesiton – can Ole Gunnar Solskjaer face the same destiny as well? Only the results will give us the answer.

Aston Villa are still adapting to the Premier League after their time in the Championship. Right now the Villans are 15th in the standings with 14 points, but they have won just 4 of their 13 matches so far.

At Old Trafford Villa will be without Jed Steer, Keinan Davis and Jota Peleteiro, who are not fit to play at the moment.

There’s no more time for Manchester United – the Red Devils must stabilize their performance if they want something meaningful to happen this season. They have a perfect opportunity to record a win against Aston Villa on Sunday. In our English Premier League predictions we believe that this will happen, but let’s see.
