Wolfsberger AC hosts Roma at the Merkur Arena in Graz in a match from Group J of Europa League. Take a second to read our Europa League predictions for this fixture on Thursday.

Wolfsberger AC started shockingly well in Europa League. The Austrian side had a difficult visit to Borussia M’gladbach and nobody really expected what was about to happen. Entering the game as underdogs, Wolfsberger celebrated an exciting 4-0 win against the Bundesliga side.

Until the halftime the Austrians already had a clear lead of three goals. Shon Weissman opened the score for Wolfsberger, while Mario Leitgeb doubled the visitors lead. Marcel Ritzmaier made Borussia’s task almost impossible with a third goal.

After the halftime break Borussia M’gladbach tried to return in the game, but instead of this they conceded a fourth goal. This happened in the 68th minute when Mario Leitgeb again scored after an assist from Michael Liendl. Liendl made two assists in this match.

Surely Wolfsberger AC will be playing with a lot of confidence on Thursday. To beat a Bundesliga side with four goals margin in Germany is something spectacular, nobody can deny this.

Roma on the other hand won their first game in Europa League with exactly the same result – 4-0. The Italians hosted Turkish side Istanbul Basaksehir at the Olimpico and showed them that they are not joking around.

In the first half Roma scored only once when Istanbul’s Junior Caicara scored himself an own goal. In the second half Paulo Fonseca’s boys started playing really well, scoring three more in Mert Gunok’s net. Edin Dzeko, Nicolo Zaniolo and Justin Kluivert recorder their names on the scoresheet. It was a really great night for Roma.

In our Europa League predictions we can say that both Wolfsberger AC and Roma performed in an impressive way in their first games in Group J. This is the reason why we are expecting a great game between these two sides in Austria.
